Jorge Haddock

Robins School of Business

Jorge Haddock is the Dean of the Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond. Prior to coming to the Robins School, Dr. Haddock was the Associate Dean and Professor of Management Science and Information Technology in the Lally School of Management and Technology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He earned his BS from the University of Puerto Rico, an MS from Rensselaer, and a PhD from Purdue University.

Dean Haddock's primary teaching interests include Operations Research, Production Planning and Information Technology. His primary research interests involve the design and implementation of effective information technology, production and service systems, as well as their effect on corporate culture. He has authored or co-authored over seventy publications.

He is a member of Tau Beta Pi, IIE, and INFORMS. He has served as Director, Newsletter Editor, as well as International, Research and Publications Cluster Chairman for the IIE OR Division. He received both the Outstanding Young IE Award and the Excellence for Minority Advancement Award from IIE and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Faculty/Staff Award, the Darrin Counseling Award and RAA Teaching Award at Rensselaer and the Hispanic Educator of the Year Award in New York State. Dr. Haddock is a co-inventor of the patent, Method of System for Providing Credit Support to Parties Associated with Derivative and Other Financial Transactions.
