Fred T. TattersallFred T. Tattersall graduated with honors in 1970 from West Virginia University with a B.S. in Finance. Fred served as Senior Vice President in charge of Fixed Income for the former First & Merchants Bank (now Bank of America). He then joined Lowe, Brockenbrough & Tierney as a partner heading up the fixed income division and the firm was renamed Lowe, Brockenbrough, Tierney & Tattersall. Fred spun off the fixed income division in 1997 creating a new firm, Tattersall Advisory Group.
In 1999, Tattersall Advisory Group became a wholly owned, freestanding subsidiary of First Union National Bank (now Wachovia Bank), and operates autonomously within its institutional investment arm, Evergreen Investment Management. Tattersall Advisory Group currently manages over $52 billion for institutional accounts. Fred retired from Tattersall Advisory Group in June 2004.
Fred served as the past Chair of The Community Foundation serving Richmond and Central Virginia. In addition, he serves on the executive committee of the University of Richmond board and is a member of the Spider Management Company committee, which oversees the University’s endowment fund. He also serves on the Virginia Museum Board of Trustees and the Hollywood Cemetery Board of Directors. Just recently, Fred ended 20 years of service to the Jenkins Foundation. Married to the former Roddy Payne, Fred is the father of two and grandfather of five.
