Katherine Whitney is a Director and co-founder of Warren Whitney & Sherwood, a business management firm serving clients in the areas of finance and accounting, marketing, human resources and strategic planning. Prior to forming the firm in 1989, she was a marketing consultant for McGladrey & Pullen.

Katherine serves the firm’s clients in the areas of marketing and strategic planning. Her industry experience includes manufacturing, distribution, non-profit, and professional service. She takes the role of Director of Marketing or as Strategic Planning facilitator in mid-sized organizations to lead them in growth strategies. Following the premise on which Warren Whitney & Sherwood was built, Katherine takes a hands-on operating role with her clients focusing first on strategy followed by strong implementation. She earned a BS in mathematics from Davidson College and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Katherine currently serves on the Board of the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls (past president). She also serves on the boards of St. Catherine’s School and the Greater Richmond Partnership.
