Academic Director and Program Facilitator

Dr. Candace DeansDr. Candace Deans has twenty years experience teaching, research and consulting in international business and information technology.  She graduated with a PH.D. degree in international business and information technology from the University of South Carolina, a leader in international business education.  Dr. Deans taught at Wake Forest University and Thunderbird School of Global Management before coming to the University of Richmond.  She has traveled extensively and taught seminars around the world. While at the University of Richmond, Dr. Deans has taught IT classes in the undergraduate and MBA programs.  More recently, she has traveled extensively in Asia and studied technology trends in that part of the world.  She took students to China in 2009 and the Middle East (Dubai and Qatar) in 2008.  She received a teaching award at University of Richmond in 2006 and is currently one of three finalists for a national teaching award for the Decision Sciences Institute, a leading academic institution.
