Student Profile. The high quality of the student body is a major strength of the program.  The students have a wide range of backgrounds. While some were undergraduate business majors, others have degrees in engineering, the sciences, or the humanities. Most are fully employed. The employers of The Richmond MBA students include most of the major employers in the Richmond area, including Philip Morris USA, Capital One, Honeywell International, DuPont, Wachovia, Genworth Financial, Ukrop's Supermarkets, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Target Corporation, McKesson Medical-Surgical, Boehringer Ingleheim Chemicals, Timmons Group and numerous other firms. The average age of the students enrolled in The Richmond MBA is 29, and the average length of work experience is six years. Nearly 40% of students are female. To aid prospective applicants in their planning, the average GMAT score of accepted students is around 620, and the average undergraduate GPA is 3.2.
