New Building Expansion: Plans are under way for the expansion of the Robins School of Business

Business education at the University of Richmond has a rich tradition of excellence as evident in our Top 25 ranking by BusinessWeek. To ensure our future remains as bright as our past and present, through a collaborative and comprehensive effort, a 5 year strategic plan is being finalized to guide us through this ever changing global environment. Central to this plan is an essential 33,000 square foot addition to the Robins School. For the first time in decades, our undergraduate, graduate and executive education programs are all housed in the Robins School of Business to foster cross pollination of ideas and teachings to encourage greater innovative thought. There is a tremendous need of space for collaborative interaction, experiential and discovery-based learning in an environment that builds a broader sense of community. This new addition will provide this opportunity.

This $16.8 million Robins School campaign, in which over $9.5 million dollars has been raised, represents the most comprehensive and important fundraising effort the school has ever undertaken.  It will be critical to maintaining our place among the top business schools in the country. Included in this new addition will be the new Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, a finance trading room, business research center, 225-seat auditorium, café and reception area, as well as numerous classrooms and offices. This new wing and tower will be located in one of the most highly visible spots on campus. Designed to be constructed at the north end of the Robins School of Business and across from the University’s primary entrance, this new addition will represent not only the University’s front door to the business community, but also the front door to all who visit our campus.
