Gregory S. Rogowski, University of Richmond MBA alumnus and Performance Fibers president, named Robins School Executive of the Year

Gregory S. Rogowski, a 1991 graduate of the University Richmond MBA program and president of Performance Fibers, will be honored as the Robins School of Business Executive of the Year at the school's annual Honors Convocation April 14.
Rogowski will speak about his experiences in the global business arena and the skills necessary to succeed in international commerce, after presentation of the award. His Richmond-based company is a global leader in high-performance industrial fibers and related materials, with operations in the U.S., Mexico, France, Germany, and China.
Prior to his current role, Rogowski was president and chief executive officer of the company during a period of rapid growth after it was divested by Honeywell. He was selected to continue in his leadership role when Sun Capital Partners acquired the business from Honeywell in December 2004.
Before leading the Performance Fibers business for Honeywell, Rogowski worked in several positions with the company, including general manager of its Performance Products business and global marketing director. He joined Honeywell - then AlliedSignal - in 1986, and held positions in engineering, customer technology and marketing. He also previously worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. and Atlantic Research Corp.
In addition to his MBA in marketing from Richmond, Rogowski holds a master of science degree in polymer chemistry from the University of Akron and a B.S. in chemistry from Virginia Tech.
The Richmond MBA program is ranked 14th nationally among part-time MBA programs by BusinessWeek.
