Dean's Note

It is my privilege to present to you, our valued Robins School community, the first-ever Robins School Update.  The Robins School Update is an e-newsletter that will be sent three times a year to provide you with important news, information, and events.  I hope you enjoy this first issue.

First, I would like to thank the University of Richmond community for such an enjoyable first year.  Since my arrival last July, I have immersed myself in the culture and history of the Robins School of Business and the University.  During this time, I have discovered that this is truly one of the finest business schools in the country and it is my honor to serve as Dean.

I am proud to report that Business Week recently ranked the Robins School as one of the Top 25 undergraduate business schools in the country.  Our success is a testament to you, our alumni, students, faculty and friends, for paving the way in helping us create an outstanding reputation as a place where teaching and learning are so valued.

My pledge to you as Dean is to ensure that our future is as bright and rich as our past.  To achieve this end, we have launched a comprehensive and collaborative effort to develop a strategic plan that will guide the Robins School of Business through our ever-changing global environment.    This plan will be finalized and presented in our next Robins School Update e-newsletter this fall.

To our alumni and friends, I reiterate my gratitude for your numerous contributions to the Robins School.  Alumni and community involvement is essential to our future and continued success. We welcome your involvement with our students, whether it may come in the form of career advising and class lecturing, internships, shadowing or interviewing for full-time positions.

Please feel free to contact me at anytime with your thoughts or suggestions.   I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
dean
