Bloomberg Product Certification
The Center for Active Business Education supports students who want to become Bloomberg Certified by providing a Bloomberg terminal in the Finance Lab, providing detailed instructions, and live support from students who are already Bloomberg Certified (Financial Data Assistants). The Bloomberg Product Certification Program is designed to equip financial professionals with comprehensive knowledge of the Bloomberg Professional service.
You have the option of obtaining a certification in either equity or fixed income. For either certification, you must pass 8 courses (3 intro courses and 5 additional courses). A grade of 70% or greater must be achieved in order to pass each course. If your score is lower than 70%, you cannot re-take a course. If you fail a course, you have the option to take any elective courses until you have passed a total of 8 courses.
Each course video is 20 to 30 minutes and each exam takes about 20 minutes. The 8 courses will take about 7 hours to complete. The courses can be taken individually and the entire certification on your own schedule.
