Because sound management principles are fundamental to any successful business, more than half of the core business curriculum is composed of courses offered by the Department of Management, including the capstone course in strategic planning and policy.
Four key areas form the basis of the Management program: strategy and policy, information systems, organizational behavior and human resources, and operations management.
Though necessarily broad in scope, the Management curriculum does offer a concentration and is further enriched by such timely course offerings as environmental management, conflict resolution and negotiation, organization communication and entrepreneurship.
Infused with a global perspective, this multi-faceted program provides students with the problem-solving skills and legal, ethical and socio-cultural awareness they will need to effectively manage a department, a division or a multinational corporation.
